We managed to arrange the sunny weather again for our match at Kirby Muxloe against our neighbours from the south - Northamptonshire. Determined though we were, to get our revenge for our 3rd team defeat at Wellingborough earlier in the season, alas, it was not to be - a very close-fought match resulted in a 4 1/2- 3 1/2 loss for our team, with almost all of the losses being decided on the 17th or 18th holes. The course was in beautiful condition and we were treated to a gourmet meal in the clubhouse afterwards. Many thanks to all who turned out to play for the team, especially to Dee Laurie who was drafted in at the last minute to cover for me with my golf injury sprained ankle.
