L&RLVA 2nd Team Match versus Northamptonshire 22nd July 

After a hot few days the weather was overcast as the first players  teed off to then umbrellas up! They didn’t stay up for long.

Rushden Golf Club was the venue. One none of us had played before. An interesting course and as I got on the tee I often wondered were the green could possibly be!

I had a very close match with Karen Docherty my partner, at the turn we were 2 up. Only for the Northants team to get ahead so all felt a draw on the 18th (a quirky hole) was fair.

Liz Kitchen and Pam Hall, Cate Alexander and Mandy Fieldhouse lost on the 18th  two very close fought battles.

Our superstars were Janette Watson and Sharon Scott, Sue Roberts and Louise Burrell and my vice Pauline Vickers and Nicky Collett who all won their matches.

The Northamptonshire Captain Gill Snelson made us very welcome as did all the team
