5th July L&RVLGA played Warwickshire 2nd eam

Birstall hosted this match and we admired the beautiful new clubhouse that is still under restoration.

The weather stayed dry and we could all ignore the election results and enjoy a day of golf.

As always Warwickshire hosted a strong team with a couple of low handicappers.

Thank you to Sandra Roberts my partner for her wonderful play against an amazing Warwickshire player off 10 who used to be off 4. We were one up going to the 18th which we halved a close match winning on the 18th.

Gilly Clear and Sharon Scott won 4 and 2.

Sally Lee and Sally Townsend won 2 and 1.

Sue McHugh and Cate Alexander were all square coming to the 18th and then won.

Christine Walker and Alison Sage, Judy Arden and Pauline Milner also won their matches.

Two teams lost, one match again went to the 18th.

A day of very close matches.
