1st Team vs 2nd Team at Kibworth Golf Club.
A bit of a cold start with the odd spot of rain, fortunately this was short lived and turned into a pleasant day.
The 1st Team Captain Corinne and her players made us all feel very welcome. Also, playing for the 1st team was our President Kate Elliott.
We actually managed to better last year’s results, but still managed a loss to the 1st Team 6 & 2. It was lovely to see such good golf being played and a well deserved victory for our County Vet’s 1st Team. Congrats to Liz Kitchen & Elaine Watkins who won their match and to Elaine Moulton, Nicky Collett, Mary Husseini and Christine Ratcliffe who succeeded in a half.
I thoroughly enjoyed the day and the company of Corinne Boyd and Jan Sterling. Jan making us laugh on many occasions… such as the 16th when the pond was greatly admired, for Jan then to say that it was the wrong place for the sound of running water, so near to finishing the course when you’re desperate for a p..!
I would like to thanks all ladies who played for the 2nd Team today… we gave our very best.
