2ndTeam Match v Nottinghamshire at Glen Gorse Golf Club
The weather for this match was a little chilly but remained dry for most with just a heavy shower catching the final few groups towards the end of their round.
The course at Glen Gorse was in excellent condition with the greens having been cut and rolled in preparation for the match.
The final three matches were all very close and unfortunately, we lost two of those three matches with the last putt on the 18thhole. This meant the overall score finished all square with 4 wins each. A little disappointing as this was the first of our home inter-County matches for the season, but all the ladies thoroughly enjoyed playing the course and the Nottinghamshire opposition, as always, were excellent company.
As the Nottinghamshire Captain and I were not eligible to play in this match we were able to enjoyed a few holes together following the final game.
The staff at Glen Gorse were all extremely helpful and made us feel very welcome.
The day finished with an excellent meal of either Salmon or Vegetable and Fata Tart, followed by Tart au Citron with Blackcurrant Sorbet.
