What a difference a week makes to the weather! The annual 3^rd team match against the Northamptonshire 3^rd team was played in glorious sunshine at the stunning Overstone Golf Club. President Janet and I saw 32 happy ladies off on the first tee and met 32 equally happy ladies after 9 holes. They all offered their score and every match was incredibly close.
The clubhouse was so lovely and we sat on the large patio being able to watch the ladies play the 15^th and to watch them coming up to the 18^th green which was surrounded by bunkers. Everyone was still very happy.
There were many rookies playing for both teams and one of the L&RVLGA ladies, as we were informed by her opposition, scored 27points on the front 9! What would she have scored had their match gone to the 18 holes?!
The hospitality was wonderful, the meal was salmon and salad bar and the atmosphere in the dining room was animated. A big thank you goes to the Northamptonshire Captain Gina Evans for organising the match at her home club.
Thank you also to the all of the lovely ladies for returning a fabulous 4-4 result.
