The annual fixture with the Whetstone Seniors took place on Thursday 13th August. Once again we had a warm welcome, with coffee and biscuits on arrival.
With the pairings done, the first game tee’d off at 10 am. The day had been promised some rain, but thankfully this never appeared until the last group were in. This year it was a Texas Scramble, with 1/10 of total handicaps, giving the shots figure. There was NTP for Ladies and Men on the 17th.
The meal afterwards was Roast leg of lamb and vegetables, followed by cheesecake and cream, coffee and mints.
There was lots of friendly banter on and off the field, even during the “prizegiving”.

Winning team – Malc Wileman, Stu Coley, Cathy Castle and Sylvia Walton with a score of 57.2. Albeit they almost got disqualified, as their adding up was called into question and they had signed for the wrong score!
Nonetheless a good day and atmosphere!
