Leicestershire & Rutland Veteran Ladies Golf Association

Junior Girls Donation

Ouir treasurer has received this letter of thanks from Anita Higginson:

Leicestershire & Rutland Ladies’ County Golf Association

Dear Jane

On behalf of the Executive Committee and all the County girls I would like to express our sincere thanks for the generous donation the L&RVLGA have made to us this year.

The Junior Girls continue to grow in number and ability thanks to the opportunities we are able to provide for them. Our plan is not only to develop our elite golfers but also to grow the game at grass roots level to ensure the future of girls’ and ladies’ golf.

Free coaching will continue for girls of all ages & skill level – monthly sessions where they develop new skills, make friends and have fun! Our Foxes Junior Pathway Tour will enter it’s fourth year visiting six locations throughout the County where we hold 18-hole, 9-hole, Super50 & Flag50 events for approximately 90 boys and girls at each venue. These events are hugely popular and it’s so good to see so many young people from affiliated clubs having fun and enjoying their golf.

The future of our funding from England Golf is insecure and so the donations we receive from organisations like yours make a huge difference to our ability to continue along our successful path.

After 7 years as County Junior Organiser I shall be handing the baton on to my successor Jane Burley of Market Harborough at the County AGM in November. Jane will be your contact for the future.  (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.)

Once again, many thanks for your support which is very much appreciated.

Yours sincerely

Anita Higginson
