The Warwickshire ladies gave us a warm welcome at the Stonebridge Golf Centre this morning, a set of three 9 hole courses that I don’t think any of us were familiar with before. However, with heavy rain forecast, we were not going to hang around and admire the views of the wildlife, (although the families of young geese were rather cute!) The L&R ladies got the hang of the rough and the undulating greens faster than the opposition, and we came away with a superb victory of 7 ½ to ½. My thanks go to all the ladies who turned out and played so well, and to Lady President Sue who once again came to see us all off on the first tee. Thanks also to Ronnie Porte, who played at very short notice and to Sandra Roberts who kindly took the meal money for me.
