1ST TEAM AND ROTHLEY SENIOR MEN 12TH AUGUST 2019 AT ROTHLEY

This fixture was played as a mixed amam off handicap with the Rothley men with one man and one lady to score on each hole.

As always it was a really enjoyable day out and the course was in good condition, although the greens were slower than usual as they had been hollow tined and sanded. However, it didn’t detract from the day you just had to hit the putts that little bit harder!!!

The weather was kind to us yet again, a nice temperature to play golf.

The Senior Section very kindly provided the prizes and tea or coffee on arrival which was much appreciated by the ladies and I thanked the senior men before we went out to play.

The food was very good and I asked Eric to pass on my thanks to the Caterers. Special thanks go to Terri Wills and Jenny Woodland for stepping in to play. The prizes were awarded as follows

1st prize with a score of 83 were Janey Heaney and Terri Wills with Chris Olivier and Richard Heathcote 2nd Prize with a score of 74 (on countback) were Mary Langley and Di Sim with Rob Dews and John Dekonski

Nearest the Pin for the ladies was Corinne Boyd Nearest the Pin for the men was Chris Olivier
