2^nd Team Match v Northamptonshire at Wellingborough Golf Club

The Northamptonshire Captain Carol, and their Lady President Jane, welcomed us to the beautiful surroundings of Harrowden Hall for our 2^nd team away match against Northamptonshire.

The Wellingborough Golf Club at Harrowden has a magnificent championship golf course which regularly host PGA and County golf events. The golf course was in excellent condition and all of the ladies thoroughly enjoyed playing the course. The course is 5946yds/Par 75 from the red tees. The back 9 in particular can be rather challenging with four long Par 5’s, and a number of steep inclines.

Many of the matches were very close, with one finishing in defeat for L&RVLGA with only the very last putt on the 18^th hole. Despite the very best efforts of those that played,  L&RVLGA unfortunately lost the match 6.5 to 1.5.

The match was played in warm sunshine, with excellent company and in beautiful surroundings.

A lovely day was brought to a close with a delicious, very extensive, two course cold buffet.
