We received a warm welcome from the Lincolnshire Vice Captain Margaret Jacobs as, unfortunately, their captain Nicky Plumtree was unable to play.
Once again, we played in lovely weather and the course was in nice condition. Torksey are in the process of putting in a sprinkler system on all the fairways so there were lots of GUR areas and yellow flags to negotiate, but it was still lovely to play.
The food was a cold buffet which was very welcome after all the sunshine and I asked Margaret to pass on my thanks to the Chef.
It was the first time that Julia Booth has played for the Vets and look forward to seeing her in more matches in the future.
