3rd Team Match v Northamptonshire at Melton Mowbray Golf Club

The weather forecast for the day was for thundery showers and rain throughout, but fortunately this proved incorrect. The ladies enjoyed a warm, overcast day with just the occasional very light shower.

The staff at Melton Mowbray Golf Club made us feel extremely welcome and we were very well looked after throughout the day.

All of the ladies enjoyed playing the course, which was in excellent condition. Many of the matches were very close but unfortunately Northamptonshire proved to strong for the L&RVLGA 3rd team on the day and they lost 6-2. A disappointing result, but the Northamptonshire ladies were great company and everyone enjoyed the day, despite losing the match.

The day was finished off with a delicious meal of Lasagna, chips and salad, followed by Cheesecake for desert.
