Thursday 19^th July Retford

Another beautiful, hot and sunny day at Retford. Ladies who lived south of Leicestershire had quite a journey.

As we have had no rain since the last match the course, as all are now very dry, hard and bouncy with the ball travelling a long way across the slopes from top to bottom and where the ball ended being very unpredictable.

There are some interesting holes especially a couple of the par 3’s, one uphill all the way and one downhill all the way with the ladies clubbing down and still going off the back.

In a couple of the matches we were down at the half way mark but Leics managed a half.

The final result was a very welcome 5-3 win for Leics – our first win of the season.

The highlight at the end was a lovely buffet, all for £10!
