Result Leicestershire 4 Derbyshire 4
Although we have had some rain since the last fixture it hasn’t been enough to soften the hard fairways. Essential work had been done to the greens so they were uneven and very slow.
As Leics now have the wooden spoon after losing last year’s fixture we were anxious for Derbs to take it home with them.
When the first 4 teams came in Derbs were well on top. However, the later teams did really well with the eventual result being a 4-4 half meaning that Leics unfortunately keep the spoon for another year. It was presented to Ann, next year’s Captain to look after it till next year when the fixture will be in Derbs.
