The Annual County Vets Championship was held on Monday 15th May 2017 at Rothley Park Golf Club.

There were 90 entries this year, with a couple having to withdraw due to injury. The remaining Ladies battled with a range of wet, warm , and windy conditions throughout the day, with eventually some better weather setting in. Throughout the day the Lady Starters from Rothley sent out the competitors, so a big thank you to them all. The Hospitality from the staff was excellent, and the Greens Staff and catering staff made the day enjoyable despite the weather. Thank you to all the people including the committee who made the day successful. The course looked beautiful and played well.

The Lady President's Charity  'HEADWAY' made £224, so thanks to all of you who contributed to this locally supporting charity.

This year saw an increasing number of Ladies who compete for the over 70s Bonbon dish, I am impressed by the enthusiasm you all have , even in the changeable British weather.
