Monday 15th August 2016 was a lovely day for playing the last inter county match of 2016 against Northamptonshire. It was not too hot for golf and there was a slight breeze. The balls were rolling, unfortunately sometimes they rolled that little extra into the trees but it proved very good practice at getting out of tricky places. The deep, soft sand in the bunkers looked like it had just been imported from a Caribbean beach. All in all, the course was in an exceptional condition.
The conversation in the clubhouse was animated whilst eating the meal which was lasagne and crème brulee.
President Janet started us all off and stayed to enjoy the meal with us afterwards.
The match result was a very friendly 4 – 4 draw.
