On Monday 24th August the First Team played their final county fixture at Lingdale Golf Club against Staffordshire.

The weather forecast promised heavy showers but luckily the cold front skirted around us and most missed the torrential downpours.

As always Lady President Janet Morris came along to support the Leicestershire team seeing all games off from the first tee.

Staffordshire fielded a very strong team and were very competitive in all their matches.

With one game to go Staffordshire were leading 4 games to 3, luckily Leicestershire's final pairings won their game on the 18th hole

gaining the Leicestershire team a very respectable draw.
