First Team V Northamptonshire

The First Team travelled to a sunny Farthingstone Golf Club for their fixture against Northamptonshire. The team comprised of six ladies new to the team and all acquitted themselves very well on the very demanding course.

Leicestershire's Lady President Janet Morris came along to support the team and saw each of the pairings tee off. The opening holes were very tight and veering from the fairway left very difficult shots (if you were lucky enough to find the ball) from the thick rough; the back nine holes were far more open but most ladies found all the greens very challenging.

The opening games were very close, with the Leicestershire's pairings  dominated the closing games, unfortunately the Northamptonshire team had the upper hand on a familiar course, winning the match 4 1/2 to 3 1/2.
