The 3rd team travelled to Rushden Golf Club for their fixture against Northants 3rd team. Another long journey for some, but once again everyone arrived in good time and the sun was shining. Rushden was changed into an 18 hole course some two years ago and the “new” holes and surroundings were very immature. It was a wide open space with the wind quite strong. Long carries and walks from some greens to the next tee longer than on the front holes.
Despite this all the games were played in good spirits and plenty of good chat, during and after the games.
The food was Lasagne, new potatoes and salad, cheesecake to follow.
The result was a half, which was fair.
A lovely day was had by all.
